The Power of Desire
DAY 6 - The Power of Desire: The Universe Within
Desire
From the last day, I realised that trusting my inner voice doesn’t mean ignoring the world around me - it means learning how to balance both. Yet, the question that kept echoing in my mind was: how do I truly listen to what my inner voice wants to say?
Earlier today, I came across a TEDx Talk by Suzanne Adams, “How to Use Quantum Physics to Make Your Dreams into Reality.”
She asked a question that instantly pulled me into deep reflection
✨ “If you could have, be, or say anything, what would you be doing?”
That one question made me pause.
What would I truly desire if there were no boundaries - no expectations, no fears, no restrictions, not even the worldly ones?
And as I thought about it, I realised that most of the things I chase in life - my goals, my plans, even my idea of success - are shaped more by others than by myself.
Sometimes by family expectations, sometimes by friends’ choices, and often by what society tells us is “right.”
But the truth is, when we start walking a path built from others’ desires, we often find it difficult to even take the first few steps.
Because deep down, it’s not the path our heart truly wants.
So I began to wonder - what is desire, really?
I found my answer in this line:
“You cannot desire what you do not already contain.”
Desire, I realised, isn’t about wanting something external - it’s the reflection of our own inner potential, waiting to be awakened.
What we long for most deeply is simply our hidden strength trying to find a voice in the world.
We are all like organs within one vast universal body - each unique, each essential.
Just as no organ can replace another, no one can live someone else’s purpose.
Our desires are those quiet inner impulses guiding us toward the role only we can fulfill.
That nervous excitement you feel toward certain dreams - the one that makes you slightly uncomfortable - that’s your soul’s nudge, your call to expansion.
Your desires are not distractions; they are divine directions.
And maybe, the only thing standing between us and their realization isn’t the world or time - it’s our own willingness to climb the mountain within.
Because the mountain has never been outside us.
It’s always been within.
